Leonard - Howdy, I'm Leonard, a 7-year-old altered male German Shorthaired Pointer. My breed tends to be friendly, intelligent, willing to please, and has an aristocratic bearing. I think that sums me up pretty well. I am also playful, gentle and curious. I can be adopted by a first time pet owner and/or a family with children. I can live with other dogs and maybe cats. Maggie is an adorable, sweet senior GSP who is estimated to be about 13 years old. She loves to go for car rides and despite her age is still able to jump up into the back of an SUV. She loves toys and already has a favorite she carries around. She gets along great with other dogs and is not interested in cats. She loves food, is housetrained, and is showing that she is a quick learner as she has figured out the doggie door in just a short time. She likes to cuddle and will come up to you while minding her manners and is not pushy or clingy.
Well-mannered children should be 6 or older. Come meet Maggie today!

Doyle is a 2 - 3 year old male GSP, 44 pounds of fun! He’s needing to put on a bit of weight and should fill out at around 55 pounds. Doyle is recovering from pneumonia and is getting lots of TLC in his foster home.

Cocoa is a sweet
approximately one year old 47lb female GSP who came to us from the
shelter with a moderate case of demodex (non-contagious mites that
cause the hair to fall out). She's receiving treatment and seems
to be responding well. Cocoa loves to run and play with the other
dogs in her foster home and she loves people, especially men.

Patch is a very cute 1 year old male who just loves to play! He’s an active dog that gets along great with other dogs, and he’s gained the confidence he needs to be self-assured and happy. Patch is easy to love, and he loves to be with you. He’s gaining weight, is most of the way to his normal weight now that he’s receiving enzymes with his food, and is looking super.

Dennis the Menace is an amazingly cute, 1 year old neutered male pointer. He's a very happy boy. His nickname is Thumper because he wags his tail in his crate. Denny is not a menace at all, he just needs to learn some manners (which he is doing in his foster home). He's a gentle boy who loves to play fetch and loves to cuddle. He gets along with dogs and would love a home with a dog of similar age and energy to play with.
Denny is a high energy boy who will do best with someone experienced with high energy breeds. Children 6 and up, no cats please.

Ella is an adorable
14 month old, spayed female GSP. She is a delightful girl who is
mellow when inside, but is all GSP when outside. She plays rough
and loves to get dirty. Ella has high exercise needs and would do
best with another dog her age to play with.
Ella gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages, is housebroken,
crate trained, and good on a leash. Polite, well-mannered children
should be 10 or older, and her adoptive family must be committed
to following through with recommended training classes. She will
do best in a home that has GSP experience and can provide the structure
she needs as well as lots of exercise and training. No cats please.

Axel is a 20 month old energetic young male GSP! This handsome fellow still needs to put on some weight, but he loves to run and play ball. He’s a lover and is very eager to please his people! Axel is learning off leash recall and comes to you when you blow kisses.
Since he guards his food and toys, we are recommending that he be an only dog with no other pets in the home, and any children in the home be 13 and up. He’ll do best with an experienced owner to provide the structure and training he will need, and a home situation with active people but not lots of comings/goings and in an area where off-leash dogs are not likely to be present.

Belinda - You want wonderful, we got wonderful and her name is Belinda! She's housetrained, knows all her basic commands, LOVES to play fetch at the dog park and always brings the ball back. Belinda's even up for a run and will let you know by waiting at the door for you. She's also a cuddler and likes to be in your lap. Belinda's living with another female GSP and shows interest in cats, but doesn't chase them, so we think she could live with a dog-savvy kitty. Belinda's estimated to be 6-8 years old, but we all know age is just a number. Come meet Belinda, you won't be sorry. Children 6 and up.

Ollie is an 8 year old 55 pound male GSP. He's a loveable, huggable boy and his ears are so very soft! He loves to be loved, and loves to follow his humans all around. Ollie is sweet and very gentle.
It seems that this boy has lived most of his life outdoors, but is learning house manners in his foster home. Ollie is crate trained and good with other dogs, enjoying dogs his own age best. He would love an active family to call his own. He used to have seizures, but they are now controlled with medication that costs only $5 per month! Children 5 and up, no cats please. |

Turbo (also known as Oscar) is a total pacifist and loving sweetheart. He's a happy boy and just wants to be friends with everyone. This gentleman is now 66 pounds and in great shape. The vet estimates him to be about 13 and has advised us against neutering him due to his age. He came into rescue quite ill, and now he is doing so well! He plays fetch and catch with himself when excited. He is a very happy and affectionate dog. His energy has returned with the good care he is receiving, and he's the first of the GSPs in his home ready for a walk in the morning! Turbo gets along well with other dogs and kids of all ages.
Turbo is famous! He appeared on the front page of the Press Democrat (the local paper where he's being fostered) and you can see his picture on his blog! |

Sarah is approx Age: 4-5 years German Shorthair Pointer Female, spayed Current on all shots Sarah is a very affectionate, loving, sweet dog. She will stand with her head in your lap for as long as you want to pet her soft ears and face. She is very well behaved and fully housetrained and is happy to lie around the house in her dog bed and will vigorously wag her tail when anyone comes into the room. Poor Sarah had to spend 7 weeks in a cage waiting for a foster home to become available and she was overjoyed at having a home again. She gets along very well with cats, older children and other dogs. However, she is obsessed with birds and squirrels and will chase them if they come into her “space”. Sarah is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered. We would prefer anyone interested in Sarah to have knowledgeable of this breed.
