These dogs are lucky enough to have found their forever homes!

Holly's family was looking for a young female since their old female had just died, and their other GSP seemed lost without her. Holly has had so many changed recently, she's glad to have found her forever home!

Mazie has found her forever home with 3 other GSP sisters, 8 acres, a river, a redwood forest and lots and lots of room to run! This little GSP is a country girl at heart, and is so happy to have fresh air, a dad who is home during the day, doggies to play with, and lots of dragonflys to chase! Her new family can't believe how affectionate and mellow she is! Of course she's mellow after a dip in the river before breakfast, and running around with her sisters, and sunbathing on the lawn! See you at the swimming hole little Maize!

Suzie has had a fairy-god-mother for months! Her new Mom saw her on Petfinder before we knew she was pregnant, and wanted to adopt her because she had been severly mistreated and just very fat. Little did she know that Suzie was pregnant with 8 beautiful GSP puppies. Her fourth litter! And Suzie is only 3 years old!

Suzie is finally off to her new home on 10 acres, with a GSP brother and lots of goats! And a Mom who Suzie loves (who has waited for her for 3 months)!

Our hearts are with you Suzie! We hope that you continue to forget your horrible past. The whole world is open to you now, little Suzie-Q!

Sammy knows a good thing when she sees it! While we are sure she misses her terminally ill owner whose family surrendered her to the shelter, she was so lucky to find another family to dote on her. They didn't mind that she's old and can be clingy, they focused on what a sweetheart she is. And each day, she is adjusting more to her new situation, and now there is lots of tail-wagging!

Greta was adopted through our owner referral listings! Here's what her new family has to say about her:

She is a joy to have around. All she seems to think about is play, play, play whether it's the boys, w/our two Siberians, our cats, the dog next door or anyone in the neighborhood willing. The only thing she likes better than playing is snuggling up next to a warm body or covering herself up with a blanket. She is a bundle of loveable energy! She is always willing to play fetch or just hang out in the front yard and supervise all the kids in the neighborhood playing (of course she always wants to get involved in the game herself). She has discovered a hidden talents for both soccer and dodge ball and last week she found out she likes to go for rides on quads (course we are having problems finding a helmet that fits).

Adopted: August 2007

Fritzy found the perfect home - a young couple with a young lab, where someone is home part of the day, and he will get to go lots of places because they are all very active! He'll have the best of all worlds!

Einstein is one lucky boy! He was adopted by a family who has lots of experience with dogs who have long term illnesses. They had applied for him a long time ago, and were willing to wait as long as it took. Then, they were so gracious to offer to take over his treatment in order to free up room for another GSP in need. Einstein has wonderful new parents, two canine sisters, a bunch of room to roam and a pond to cool off in. No doubt, he’s being spoiled right now! Good for you, Einstein. You have been through a lot and you deserve the best!

After looking at a number of our dogs and shelter dogs, a woman met Spring and fell in love with her right away. And better yet, her dog also got along with Spring. Now they can all go on walks and hikes together!

Adopted: July 2007

When River was still at the shelter, he was visited by his new family. They weren't sure if he was the right dog for them, so they decided to foster him. After a couple of months, they still weren't sure, so they said we should start looking for his forever family. A month later when a potential adopter called to make an appointment to meet River, they were a bit taken aback, realized how much they had become attached to him, and moved swiftly to adopt him!

Adopted: July 2007

Chipper has finally found his home! Although his foster mom misses him terribly, and is sad whenever she finds one of his tennis balls in the yard, she knows he has found the perfect family, and as she says "It was absolutely the right thing :)"

Adopted: June 2007

Reyna (now Greta) found her forever home the moment her foster parents laid eyes on her. Greta is one lucky girl! She has two GSP sisters, a huge ranch to call home, and her new parents are joking that they need to get a second bed to fit all of the dogs in bed with them at night. Greta's new favorite pastime is jumping in her year round river! Good for you Greta!

Adopted: May 2007

Bosco is now known as Bosco Antolini! The shelter determined I was unadoptable!!! GSP Rescue and Karen disagreed. After ONE day with my new parents, they fell in love with me. Yippee!! My brothers, Sherman, Luke and Harley, also GSP rescues, welcomed me with open paws. They had lost Sam after 15 years. Now we are again four and my new parents say I have Sammy's loving eyes. Life is good. Thank you GSP Rescue.

Adopted: May 2007

Charley slowly wormed his way into his foster family's heart. He had begun interviewing potential adopters, and when one family decided not to adopt him, his foster family found themselves celebrating! That's when they knew that Charley had become part of their family and they really didn't want to part with him.

Adopted: May 2007

Angus (Gus) has a new home. He's so lucky, he's going to the same family that adopted Hutch from us a few months ago. Now the two of them will be running around together on that huge fenced property - we're curious to know which one will run out of energy first!

Adopted: February 2007
